I liked the sound of this domain; an "empty span" is of some significance to we programmers (I almost said, "wee programmers," of which I am but one) — it's a clever technique used with css to cover boring text headings with spiffy images of text, and to make nice remote rollovers (used to great effect with the mouse-hover at geniusweirdo.org — another of my projects, about which you can read more, here at this site).
So I picked up "emptyspan.info," and since I can't bear a domain with no content (although I've not yet set up the server on "emptyspan.org"), and since it takes no effort at all to throw together a web page (obviously; look at all my stuff, and hand-coded, too), I collected all the pithy sayings I could remember, many of which came out of the mouth of my friend, André Corbeau.
