
Oh, once upon a time I had a nice website here; I had chronicled my trip through northwestern Europe in the summer of 2008. with sophisticated image galleries, and posts written and posted from hotel rooms while traveling, rather like a "blog."
One of my Deutsch correspondents, though, complained about his privacy being violated; I pulled the thing down promptly, but other projects prevented me from getting back to it.
Here's a shot of the old site; it was a beaut.

one of my correspondents was a gal on dial-up; for her sake, and others, I had parallel versions of the site: a low bandwidth version with minimal and optimized images, and a high bandwidth one with images and media files.
Up front was a gateway, with a "high band or low?" choice of links; inside, each user would find the content, with the appropriate logo image:
