we call it artisan web design.
we begin with a blank page, like you did.

and then we spill a bunch of coffee on it, and let the cats walk around on it!
really, it looks kind of like that, doesn't it? it's supposed to be clever... one of mr. corax's ideas...

we develop the concept,
the styles,
the formatting, and
then we hand-code it.

Clackety-clack go the keys, typetypetype, sometimes yes, late at night with dim light.
There's no authoring software or drag-and-drop design going on, which is why we call it artisan.

We liken it to the development of an industrial facility; consultations with the various engineers determine where to put the pipes and valves and ladders and stairways; if they did their job well, the users of the facility don't have to think about the design choices, they get to just -- use the site.

We provide experience in multi-media development, abundant copy-writing practice, and an eye for lean, eye-catching web and digital media design.

You provide the opportunity, and the questions; we all go on from there.

For more on our services and practices, see the About page; also be sure to check out the FAQ.

in addition to our other, clever services: web development and design; graphic design for print and web; multi-media design... contact us

we also design banned websites.

geniusweirdo.org
banned in ¢hina!

While examining some user-statistics for our websites, we discovered that ¢hinese users can no longer access geniusweirdo.org.

The content wouldn't offend the pope's ten-year-old niece; no idea why the ¢hinese web czar doesn't want them looking at it. See for yourself.

I'm putting a "get your website banned in ¢hina" kit at the site; users will be able to install code that will feature this image:
I'll add some commented html, and keywords in the image's alternate text, sure to fire up the ¢hinese

can't say what they are, exactly, since I'm not interested in having this mildly mercantile website caught offending the ¢hinese (suppressed speech -- we'll see how long I hold out before I become confrontational...) but if Dick Milhous Nixon had a benevolent legacy at all, it was opening ¢hina; - I don't want to be the one to close it. You can easily imagine some of the hot-button topics, and those will be in the html; they won't render on the screen; users will only see the image, but the ¢hinese web dragnet will be sure to catch and flag them.

Once your site gets banned, you can go back for the image that is proudly featured at geniusweirdo.org
